INAX Live Museum

Tankless toilet

詳細説明

As people’s values evolved, toilets came to be evaluated not only for their functions and performance but also for their form and appearance. In 2001, INAX introduced SATIS, a tankless toilet that compactly integrated advanced features. Its refined design brought innovation to toilet interiors, overturning the conventional image of narrow and dark Japanese toilet spaces.
By eliminating the flushing tank through a system that uses direct water pressure, SATIS achieved an exceptionally compact depth—then the smallest in the world—while improving spatial comfort. Highly praised for allowing bathrooms to feel more open, it became a groundbreaking product that transformed Japanese toilet culture. Since then, tankless toilets have continued to evolve and are now the mainstream in Japan’s toilet market.
