A new wind instrument with a compact body that produces a saxophone-like tone.

Design Details:
Venova™ is a new casual wind instrument that allows players to enjoy expressive, saxophone-like performance using simple fingering similar to that of a recorder. Made of resin, it is lightweight, compact, and washable with water.
Based on extensive applied research using virtual acoustic sound sources, the instrument was developed through repeated cycles of “simulation, prototyping, and play testing.” This process resulted in a real acoustic instrument that combines a compact and simple structure with authentic playability. Two distinctive structural features—a branched tube and a meandering tube—were designed to achieve rich, saxophone-like expression with easy fingering, balancing innovation with essential acoustic principles.
