The first-generation AQUOS that ushered in the era of LCD televisions with its slim, energy-efficient design.

詳細説明

Released on January 1, 2001, this was the first AQUOS LCD color television, produced by Sharp Corporation. Compared to the then-dominant CRT televisions, it achieved a dramatically slimmer, lighter, and more energy-efficient form.
Supervised by product designer Toshiyuki Kita, the design aimed to establish a new standard for television. Its most distinctive feature is the display supported by a stand, evoking a camera mounted on a tripod or a canvas placed on an easel—an expression made possible by the thin and lightweight nature of LCD technology, unlike CRT models.
The inclusion of a handle for easy mobility further emphasized its usability and symbolized the beginning of the LCD television era.
